Vichy Aqualia Thermal range- new and improved for your skin this autumn!

Despite having an oily t-zone, my skin can tend to be dehydrated, especially when the weather gets colder.  I do not enjoy having a crinkly, moisture sapped face and I've decided that I'm going to bring my A game to my visage this autumn and winter.  I'm not going to let it get to the point where my skin gets flaky, gross and

Enter Vichy's new and improve Aqualia Thermal range.  You might remember me talking a lot about the Thermal mask from the range last year which is sadly discontinued but shhh, I still have a good half a jar left from very rigorous rationing on my part.

There are three products in the range, the Aqualia Thermal Light Cream, the Aqualia Thermal Serum and the Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream.  All in lovely blue packaging.

Both of the light and rich creams come in both tube and pot depending on your preference which makes me happy.  Having something in a tube means I can travel with it and not fear that the glass pot will smash.  Happy days.

The range contains the famous mineral enriched Vichy Thermal Water which we know helps soothe and protect the skin and if you don't know what I'm talking about, get one of the Thermal Water sprays and use it to freshen up your skin during the day.   They also have Hyaluronic Acid which helps plump the skin and helps it retain moisture, essential for dehydrated skin.  Aquabioryl intensively hydrates the skin, giving it a soft, silky feel while the λ-carrigeenans helps prevent redness and gives a long lasting moisturising effect.  All very scientific but how does it feel and does it work?

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light - €15.50/40ml tube, €23/50ml pot

The light version of the cream is aimed at those with normal to combination skin, so me, and I've been using it every morning to give my face a hit of hydration before starting with the makeup.  The light texture absorbs quickly into my face meaning that I can start to apply my foundation soon after without having to wait for it to sink in.  I require one thing and one thing only with my morning moisturiser and that's speed.  Speed at which it works and speed at which it sinks in because at that hour, I don't have time to be hanging around.  I'm loving this and at a mere €15.50 for a tube, I'll happily repurchase this myself when I run out.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum - €24

Where would you be going for a serum that costs just €24?  This lightweight product again sinks in quickly and it's a no brainer for someone who wants to start off with serums in their skincare routine but doesn't want to brake the bank.  I apply this every morning under the light cream, safe in the knowledge that it's helping to intensely hydrate my skin without feeling sticky or tacky.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich - €15.50/40ml tube, €23/50ml pot

The rich cream is aimed at those with dry to very dry skin and in the interest of testing it out, I've been using it at night, even though I don't need anything this intense.  But holy moly it's lovely.  Despite it's rich texture, the pea sized amount I warm up between my fingers melts into the skin, feeling like my beloved Thermal Spa mask.  I will most likely hand this over to Joanne who I will have to sit on to make her use it and start looking after her skin this autumn and winter, but I can guarantee that after a day or two, she'll be hooked.  Yes, it's thick and unctuous, but it doesn't leave a greasy film on your face, so if you're someone with dry skin, you'll be able to use it in the morning no worries.

We're on to a winner folks.  I love when a brand has solid products that work but at a really fair price point.  Nice one Vichy!
