Ever since seeing Lily talking about the new Rouge Coco lipsticks from Chanel a couple of months ago, it was only a matter of time before I picked them up. I've tried a few Chanel lip products in the past and loved them all, so I didn't have to spend too much time justifying the purchase of these two. To help lessen the realisation that I was going to be dropping over €60 for the two of them, one was bought on my way to Spain and one was bought on the way home!
Chanel has brought out 29 new shades, all named after special people in Coco Chanel's life and each shade has a story. I bought Adrienne first and knew it was going to be a lovely nude lip option in life and everyone should have a special nude lipstick to whip out of their bag when you need a little touch up. I bought Coco on the way home from Spain and cursed myself for not getting it on the way out so I could snap some pretty photos!
The formula is smooth, glossy, feels hydrating on the lips and is really comfortable to wear.

I've worn both of these shades so much since getting them so I've already justified the price tag (€32.50, I know, shhh, it's Chanel....)
Adrienne is the perfect peachy nude. It's got enough warmth in it to safely avoid the concealer lip situation and has just the right balance of creaminess and opacity where it doesn't look thick on the lips or sit in the lip lines. It is beautiful and works well with a smokey eye or on a day where you want to take it easy on the makeup front. In the swatch photos above, you can see the glossy finish on both shades which means they don't last too long, about two to three hours before you need to apply again.

Coco.... Oh Coco... What did I do before you came into my life? This has fast become one of my favourite lippies of the year and is a coral orangey red hybrid that's super flattering on and is a shade I've worn outside in real life too! I know! This is huge for me because we all know I'm a bit scared of bright lips. Not anymore!

The Rouge Coco range is on counters now and these two shades have definitely made me want to investigate more shades. I think I'll pick up a darker colour when autumn hits, but for now, Adrienne, Coco and I are going to be best friends!
Have you tried any of the Rouge Coco lippies? What do I need to try next?
