It's the norm at Lovely Girlie Bits. Joanne and I go into a shop, she goes looking at the clothes and I gravitate towards the makeup! And so a couple of months ago, this very thing happened on a trip to Topshop. Joanne bought nowt and I came home with an stunning eyeshadow, Wax and Wane along with this lipstick in the shade Naturist. Sucks to be you Joanne, sucks to be you!
Except for Wax and Wane, I've not tried any makeup from Topshop, but I have to admit, I picked two corkers because I love the eyeshadow and am obsessed with this lipstick. It's a light pinky mauve-y nude that's perfect for every day wear. I go on about every day wear makeup and I know I'm not along because my bloggy pal Orla from Makeup Over Mind loves a bit of "work appropriate makeup"! I think my definition of everyday wear lippie is one I can apply at my desk on on the go without a mirror, one that will go with any eye makeup I have on and one that makes me look polished and that I haven't tried too hard. I don't ask for too much, sure I don't!
Naturist feels silky smooth on the lips, is really moisturising and it's like the little sister of NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita, is lighter in colour, but equally as comfortable to wear on the lips. I want to try more and if you know me, you'll already know I want to see if they have a coral shade!
I was playing around with blue eyeliner the other day and thought Naturist would be the perfect match for the look because it's a really subtle, soft nude lipstick that doesn't give me the concealer lips thing (who does that anymore?) and doesn't take away from the shot of blue on my lids.
Topshop, I'm afraid to see what else you have in terms of makeup because my first two purchases have been crackers. I don't think I'll have any money to go shopping for clothes if this is the type of makeup you've got!
Have you tried any makeup from Topshop lads? What do I need to try next?
