I love it when a beauty product surprises me and performs far beyond it's price! Enter the No7 Stay Perfect Eye Mousse in the shade Bronze which I picked up on a recent trip to Boots, not expecting anything spectacular. Well it just goes to show that I shouldn't judge an eyeshadow by it's price/brand/packaging!
After having a swatch of a few of the six shades on offer, I did the restrained thing and picked just one. Bronze is the one I knew I'd get the most wear out of and truth be told, I want more shades now after falling in love with this.
The lightweight cream formula can be applied straight onto the eyelid from the doe foot applicator, using either your finger or a brush to blend it in. Of course, blending will sheer the pigmentation out, but it's buildable and is really easy to work with. You get enough time to blend it out before it sets and when it does set, it stays put lads.
For most of my neutral eye looks, I like to apply a mid toned brown into the crease to help add definition to the eye. On me, having a shimmery crease looks mad, so a nice softly blended crease is the way to go. Then I apply my bronze eyeshadow onto the lid, patting it in gently with a brush and blending out the colour at the crease so that it looks seamless.
What I'm left with is a softly shimmery lid, nothing too psychedelic or metallic and it's neutral eyeball perfection. I am a woman obsessed. I always have to prime my eyelid as I've super oily lids and can assure you that this shadow doesn't crease, stays put all day and doesn't smudge a bit. For it's €10.50 price tag (I got mine for €6.50 as the No7 vouchers are out at the moment), it's fantastic!
Something like this is perfect to keep in your day to day makeup bag because you can amp up the pigmentation for evenings and with a bit of liner, you're ready to go from desk to disco.
I've been rocking this at work lately and it's ease of use means I can do my usual slap dash method of application first thing in the morning with minimal faffing and maximum effect. If you're looking for something creamy, gives a beautifully delicate finish on the eye, is super long wearing and affordable, then check this out.
I need more of these. Namely the nude one and potentially the purple one.... Boots, just take my money now!

ReplyDeleteYeah I tried them and they're lovely (I have a review up!) but I don't think I would shell out that much for them myself. Particularly when you can get something like this for far less moneys!
