Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara review - the best mascara for under a fiver!

Do you ever start using a product long after getting it and then have inner rage for not using it sooner because you could've been happier together for longer?  Yes, that's what happened to me and the Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes mascara and if you've been following me on Snapchat, you'll know this has been my mascara of choice in recent weeks.

I mention the Glam & Doll False Lashes mascara so often on there because every day I get questions about it from people who had forgotten to screenshot it and then when I do post a photo, it's screenshot central.  That and I have true love for this mascara and you know me, when I love something, I want everyone to know about it and try it!

Now, Catrice sent this to me a while back and I've been putting it through it's paces for the last month or so and am ready to give you my verdict but I think I've given away the plot already.  But sure we have to do the before and after shots don't we?

The wand is one of those dual sided ones with a flat side and a curved side.  I've used wands like this before where the flat side is used to lift and curl the lashes and the curved side packs on the product, adding lots of thickness and volume.  I don't get any flaking or smudging with it and the formula is a Goldilocks one in that it's not too thick and not too thin, it's just right.  What I mean is that it's thick enough to add lots of volume and drama without weighing the lashes down and thin enough to be able to build two coats nicely without clumping.  For day time, I use the one coat and get the perfect amount of lift, curl, separation which all helps make me look wide eyed and bushy tailed when .  I apply two coats if I'm heading out and want uber dramatic eyeballs.

The flat side makes applying the mascara to the lower lashes really easy and the bendy side makes it a doddle to pack on the product to the outer top lashes, elongating my beady eyes beautifully.  There's a reason why I haven't shut up about this lads.

I believe there are a few different variations of this range of mascaras from the snaps I get from people after they've bought one.  But if you're looking for this exact one, the tube is a lilac purple and has a sticker saying "false lashes" so if you want this exact one, then keep your eyeballs peeled.

Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara has taken it's place right beside my Bourjois Volume One Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black in it's holy grail status.  It is fantastic and despite being on a spending ban, I obviously need a couple of back ups and sure at €4.50, there's no guilt there at all!
