L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Huile Nail Varnish - photos, swatches, review

Oils are everywhere at the moment aren't they?  From hair oils, to facial oils, cleansing oils to body oils.  Now L'Oreal Paris have developed an oil infused nail polish!  Sure where would you be going, but it kind of makes sense.  We're always being told to apply oils on the cuticles and nails to keep them strong and hydrated, so maybe the inclusion of oil in the actual polish will help things along?

Coming in 16 shades with a grand mix of nudes, brights and metallics, you'll be hard pressed not to find a shade or two that speaks to you.  We were sent three to test out and of course you'll know which one I fell in love with immediately.  Can we take a second to appreciate how lovely the bottles look.  They're gorgeous and I much prefer the crystal cut look compared to the regular rectangular bottles from L'Oreal.

The range itself promises to give "a deeper, more vibrant colour and greater shine in only a single coat." So on a sunny afternoon in Spain, Joanne and I got painting her amazing nails and I think from now on I'll have to use her for polish swatches!  If you follow me on Snapchat (LovelyGirlyBits), you'll have seen the behind the scenes of the photos and the lengths I go to for a nice shot!

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Huile Nail Varnish - 664 Greige Amoureux
Greige Amoureux is one of those classic shades that instantly makes one feel very sophisticated altogether and as the name suggests, is the perfect grey/beige hybrid colour.  This definitely needed two coats though despite the one coat promise, but I knew that would be the case.  Nude and pale shades generally need more than a single coat but I'm loving this one and if you're in to mushroomy taupe-y shades, then check this out.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Huile Nail Varnish - 442 Coral Trianon
Coral Trainon is coral.  And it's gorgeous.  It has a hint of neon about it on the nails and is summery perfection.  For the photos, I applied two coats but definitely could have left it at the one if it was real life.  It's one of the most gorgeous coral polishes I've tried so far (and I've tried a lot), and is one I would've picked up myself anyway.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Huile Nail Varnish 550 Rouge Sauvage
There's nothing like a classic red polish to make me happy and Rouge Sauvage is a beaut.  Again, one coat would have been grand, but I applied two for the photos.  It's a really rich, vibrant shade that will instantly make you feel like a lady.  Ok, that part might not be true, but it's beautiful and should be checked out if you're a fan of a red mani.

Each of the three shades applied really smoothly with no dragging or patchiness and the shine you see in the photos above is just from the polishes.  No topcoats were used.  While making sure I had all of the info for the post, I read that the polishes have subtle rose scent to make your manicure a bit more luxurious.  We totally didn't cop that at the time of taking the photos but I've just applied some polish to my nails now and while I couldn't get a whiff of rose when layering it on, there's a definite scent when the polish dried.  It's not quite the traditional rose scent, but it almost smells like a L'Oreal lipstick.  You know the scent I'm talking about?  Anyway, it's a little bonus on top of a gorgeous manicure and while I'm sure the use of a topcoat would drown the scent out, it's a nice little touch.

The L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Huile Nail Varnishes are on counters now and at €7.59 each, you'd be hard pushed to come away with just one shade!

Which one is your favourite?
