Anyway, I go through the same motions each and every time I visit Kiko in Alicante and on my most recent trip there, I picked up a few products that I'll be blogging about, but had to give you a heads up on a single eyeshadow that was flung into my basket after swatching it. Say hello to Shade 124 which is a piddly €2.90 and worth every penny and more!
The packaging of the single Kiko shadows are nothing to write home about, but for under €3, I wouldn't be expecting anything fancy. Lightweight plastic, that's what you're getting. But it's what inside that counts isn't it?
Described on the website as a "pearly dark dove grey", that's exactly what you get when swatching it. It has a brown undertone to it with a stone grey and a lot of sheen to it. When applied wet, the grey comes through even more and when blended out at the edges, the brown undertone is more noticeable making it a one shadow smokey eye!
For my eyeballs above, I started off by using a fluffy blending brush to apply a wash of colour all over the lids, blending out the edges with a clean blending brush. Then I took a flat eyeshadow brush and wet it before applying the shadow to the lids and under the lower lashes, making sure to blend where the wet and dry shadow met in my crease. Just to complete the look for the photos, I applied brown liner to the waterline, otherwise a smokey eye looks wonky on me and that's it!
This is the link to the eyeshadows but be warned, if you go on to the website for a look, you might be there for a while! If you spend under €49, then shipping is €5.90 and above €49, shipping is free.
I've a few more posts on Kiko products I've bought over the years but if you're on the hunt for eyeshadow sticks, then you have to check out this post because their eyeshadow sticks are proper dupes for the By Terry Ombre Blackstars!
Let me know if there's anything I must try from the brand so I can pick them up after my spending ban is over!
