L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara review, before & after photos!

Another day another budget mascara review!  This time it’s L’Oreal’s Paradise Mascara which I picked up on a whim a few weeks ago.  I don’t usually buy things unresearched, but the whim took me down the makeup aisle in Superdrug and we’ve been living happily ever after since!

I’ve heard people calling this the budget version of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I have to disagree.  Better than Sex, well, it was messy, clumpy, fell flat and and let me down.  Not at all better than sex.  But Paradise, this is fantastic.  It leaves me satisfied, happy and maybe it is better than The Ride!

Ok, enough rudeness!  Let’s get on to the mascara itself.  With its hourglass shaped brush packed with bristles to comb through the lashes, it doesn’t pick up too much product which means you don’t have to deal with the dreaded clumping issue.  The formula is definitely on the thicker side and I wanted to wait a few weeks before doing this review to see if it dried out a bit and was difficult to apply but I haven’t seen a change in formula yet.  I know one girl on Snapchat messaged me after I first got this to let me know she thought it dried out too quickly for her, but I’m still using mine at least 3-4 times a week and haven’t had any issues, but it’s worth noting anyway.

Where do I begin when it comes to what this does to my eyelashes?  It gives me everything I look for in a mascara – thickness without clumpage, length without making the lashes look spidery, volume and lift.  I never curl my lashes because at 6.15am, the effort of life is real and I need to roll out of bed and out the door as fast as possible while looking as human as possible.  While I don’t always have time for eyeshadow, mascara is a must and this is an absolute whopper lads.  It fans out my lashes beautifully and I rarely have to go back in for a second coat.  The castor oil enriched formula ensures you won’t suffer with the dreaded Crispy Lash Syndrome and I’ve not had an issue at all with flaking or smudging.  It’s a keeper lads!  It’s €16.49 which is in the middle of budget vs luxury and if you like your thick voluminous lashes, you’re going to love it!

Have you tried this mascara yet?
