Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm face palettes review, photos, swatches

I thought I’d kick off the blog again with a review I’ve been dying to post on products I’ve fallen in love with and am asked about on a daily basis!  Behold the Glowgasm Face Palettes from Charlotte Tilbury…. I was sent them along with the rest of the collection, but these are my favourite products of the range.

There are two face palettes, Lightgasm and Lovegasm and I’m not going to lie, when I saw them, I had a bit of a gasm of my own.  What can I say… Charlotte knows the way to my heart. Let’s get the bad news over with.  They’re €75… That’s incredibly spendy but before they sent them, I’d already decided I was going to buy one myself.  They just beat me to it.  The palettes themselves are a really decent size and if you were to break it down to justify a purchase, that’s €18.75 per pan and I don’t think that’s too bad.

In this post, I’m going to chat you through which one I was going to get and why.  I’m going to show you swatches on my hand, what they look like on my face and have included a video of me using them!  So buckle up bridies! *post contains affiliate links*

Glowgasm – Lightgasm

Above is the Lightgasm Face Palette and you can see the shades are lighter than the darker Lovegasm.  Inside is a champagne highlight, a glow enhancer (fancy word for a shimmery blush), a bronzer and a blush.  These are definitely suited to paler complexions and that blush on the bottom right, that leans pink and gold depending on the light and is just gorgeous on.  But you know me, I love a peachier blush and that’s where my beloved Lovegasm palette comes in.

Glowgasm – Lovegasm

Aimed at darker complexions, Lovegasm is the one I’ve been reaching for daily and it’s just so versatile on me.  If you watch the Instagram video at the bottom, you’ll see me using both palettes on the eyes and cheeks and this one wins for me because it works so much better on me.  Again it has a highlight, except this one is warmer, that shimmery glow on the top right makes the perfect eye shade, the bronzer warms up my complexion in seconds and the blush is just incredibly flattering on.

In the above photo, I have the Lightgasm palette on the leftandLovegasm on the right.  But keep reading and you’ll see them in action.  With both palettes, it’s worth noting that I’d recommend using a dense brush with the bronzers because they have a really smooth consistency that’s almost baked, but not quite.  I tried using a fluffier brush with them and couldn’t get enough colour payoff, so a dense brush is the way to go.

This is the Charlotte Tilbury Lightgasm face palette in action on the eyes and face.  I worked the bronzer into the crease and applied the highlight onto the centre of the eyes, making it a really subtle yet pretty look.

And now we have the Charlotte Tilbury Lovegasm palette on the eyes and face.  You know I love these types of shades on the eye anyway and I used the bronzer in the crease and the shimmery top right shade on the lids and under the eyes, instantly making my eyes look greener.

Every time I wear these on Instagram, I get so many compliments on my makeup and nine times out of ten, I’m wearing Lovegasm.  They’re just gorgeous and would be a whopper summer treat!  The Glowgasm palettes are available on counter and online now.
