Mother's Day - it doesn't have to be Mumsy - our gift ideas!

We love our mammies don't we?  And as much as we show them all the time, it's nice to treat them to something that they mightn't normally buy themselves.  We've put together a selection of ideas that we'd be happy to buy for Lovely Mammy Bits next week!

First up is the Eau des Jardins set from Clarins.  You can read my review here but let me say that I lost the battle for this and Lovely Mammy Bits is now enjoying this deliciously scented shower gel and body cream.  We might buy her the fragrance to complete the set.
Clarins also have their Spring 2012 collection on counters now to help your mam doll herself up. The Colour Breeze collection gives colour, subtlety, vibrancy and shades to help you attain that healthy glow.

Gloss Prodige €17.50, Colour Breeze Face Palette €37, Joli Rouge Sheer Lipstick €20, Instant Light Blush €23 and Eye Quartet Mineral Palette €40.

Emma Hardie skin care.  I'm a massive fan of these products from Emma's range and know my mam would love them too if I let her near them.  For now I'm keeping her at a distance from them or she'll fleece me of these truly gorgeous products.  You can read about the body butter and body scrub here and you can read about the Moringa Balm cleanser here.  I'm obsessed with it and need to buy more very soon.  Get yourself into Arnotts to have a whiff of these and lots of other products from Emma's range.  They've a brilliant travel set for €51 that has the Moringa Balm, Rosehip seeds, A.M./P.M Hydrating & Firming Moisturiser, Firming Eye Serum, Plumping Serum and Cleansing cloth.  Great value and is available on the Arnotts website here.

Flowers.  Mammies love flowers.  It's a scientific fact.  Our mam loves blooms from Marks and Spencer or from her favourite florist, Jungle Flowers.  Years ago, Joanne bought mam some lilies in a plant pot and each year since then, more and more lilies appear in the pot and mam loves it!

Tea for two in Clerys.  Joanne won a Facebook competition recently for Tea for two worth €29.99 in the Tea Rooms in Clerys and as she and I always do things together and we knew mam would love this, we asked how much it would be for a third person.  So basically Tea for two for three.  We were told that there'd be plenty of food for three people and we would just have to pay for anything extra we ordered.  We thoroughly enjoyed our little circle shaped sambos and dinky deserts and were pleasantly full after we'd ploughed through everything.  Lovely Mammy bits loved it and so did we and we'd go back again after eyeing up a gorgeous looking Caesar salad at a neighbouring table.

Voucher for Nu Essence - Both Joanne and I had really lovely experiences at Nu Essence last year; Joanne had her first Shellac manicure done and I had the MYscara treatment that I'll be getting done before going on holidays this year.  Winner of the Best Salon in Dublin award from Dublin Living Awards 2011, so is worthy of our mam going there and for Christmas we bought her a voucher to get a Shellac manicure done and she's waiting for a special occasion to use it.

Ladies love jewellery and one of our favourite companies is Loulerie as mentioned in this post from a while ago.  This part of the post is basically for us because we've been drooling over the pieces since we saw them. I believe the owner, Louise Stokes and us would be very good friends, she has similar taste to us and knows how to travel the world to pick great pieces!

Left to right:
1. Deepa Gurnani hand made sequin bib €349 - this range has been worn recently by Kathryn Thomas on The Voice.
2. Des Doyle Irish Goldsmith 18k gold earrings €475.
3. Gorjana small Chloe disc €60.
4. Kerry based designer Lisadora peach jade earrings €65 (we have fallen in The Love with these).

Finally, something a bit different.

Voucher for Brown Sugar.  This is our favourite hair salon, all three of us.  And we all go to Christian and him alone.  He can do no wrong as far as the Constantine ladies are concerned!  On Sunday May 13th, Brown Sugar are opening up their doors in aid of St. Francis Hospice Raheny when all proceeds will be donated to the hospice.  The staff at St. Francis Hospice were so good to our dad when he was sick and need continuous support.  It's a great idea for a lovely organisation and hopefully it's a success.  Call salons for more information.

So that's our list of ideas.  There are so many more out there so if you have any ideas, leave them in the comments below and let's compile a Mega List!
