Orly Cabana Boy - photos and review

Another day another hot-pink-polish-with-blue-undertones-that-won't-show-up-properly-on-camera-so-I-must-turn-to-my-trusty-iPhone.

Say hi to Cabana Boy from Orly.  I picked this little fella up at the beauty trade show earlier in the year and set it aside for summer.  I got fed up waiting for summer so on it went this week amidst the lashings of rain and thunder.  Here are the photos taken with my camera.  Looks pretty meh doesn't it?

But once the iPhone came out, I knew we were on to a good thing.  The neon brightness of the polish was there for all to see, along with the subtle blue sheen.  The formula is on the thin side and I applied three coats but realistically could have stopped after the second one.  I always apply a third because I'm photographing  my nails.

I love the rubber lid on the bottle, it makes application a bit easier but the brush is too narrow and thin for my liking but I made do.

This polish got so many nice comments this week.  It's bright without being in your face and it wont blind the eyeballs off you which is always a bonus.  This is an 18ml bottle but I don't think they sell that size in Boots.  Just the mini sizes.  They're in and around the €7 mark and a grand way to build up your Boots points!

Have you tried Orly?  What do I need next?

  1. This is gorgeous, I love pinks like this. I used to have an OPI one that was pretty much identical to this but I can't remember the name and haven't been able to track it down again. It was my favourite, I might try get hold of this and give it a shot!
