I Lush-ed myself

The night before last I decided to have a themed shower.  I've lots of Lush goodies to make my way through, so I knuckled down and got cracking on some of the bits and bobs that have been sent my way recently.

First thing I do in every shower is shampoo my hair.  In the Merry and Bright gift box came the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub which said it could be used on the body and hair.  A scrub for my hair?!  Sure go on, I love trying new things.  This blue scrub is loose in texture, smells marine fresh and I took about a tablespoon out and plopped it in my hair.  It lathered up easily and I worked on massaging the salt into my scalp as it's really dry at the moment right at the hairline.  A quick rinse later and I had squeaky clean cheveux.

Next, conditioner time.  I got the Big Solid Conditioner a few weeks ago and the first time I used it, I wasn't too pushed as it was too solid.  I know, it's called a solid conditioner for a reason but I felt like I was rubbing my hair with it and it was doing nothing.  Then I did something bold but worked out for the best.  I kind of left it in it's wrapping paper on the side of the shower.  It went a bit mushy but still stayed in one piece, it was just easier to take off the amount I needed and soften it even more in my hands before applying it to my hair.  I felt like my hair sucked it up immediately and whereas I'd usually be able to feel conditioner on my hair, this felt like I'd nothing in it.  This has sea salt, seaweed infusion, coconut oil, jojoba and lemon and lime juice in it.  It doesn't have much of a scent and I let it sit on my hair as I went about the rest of my showerly business.

Lush big Solid Conditioner - looks like a lump of lard but it's not.  Promise
As I let my conditioner do it's work, I took it upon myself to try out the Twilight shower gel.  This purple gel has the barest hint of silver shimmer in the bottle and smells soothing and relaxing.  Perfect for a night time shower.  With a lavender infusion and essential oil and  touch of vanilla, this lathered up and left me feeling lovely and calm, ready to get into my jimmy jams.

Lush Twilight Shower Gel - thankfully nothing to do with vampires
I dried my hair and it was soft and shiny and I was smelling lovely.  All in all a very successful shower as showers go!  You can read all about the Christmas collection from Lush here.

Side note - let the record show I did have a shower last night too.... Not just the night before last
