Bourjois sixties trend eye make up look

Back in the day, I used to go out with my college friends with the brightest blue eye shadow caked on from eyelash to eyebrow.  Yes, that was when highlighting your brow bone meant something else completely.  I actually judge them now for still being friends with me after that now that I think of it...

Fear not my lovely reader, for I am going to show you a look that's part of Bourjois' Sixties Remix spring trend that make up artist Cassie Lomas showed me a few weeks ago and yes, you are looking at a pot of blue eye shadow below.  Be not afraid.

This is all I used to recreate the look and the blue shadow is one of the new Round Pots from Bourjois, Bleu Passe (€10.99).  This sixties-style pale blue shadow has fine silvery pearly extracts that gives a radiant finish and can be used wet for a more pigmented finish.  If you are using your shadows wet, then keep your wet side separate to your dry side, in case wetting the shadow creates a hard layer on the surface.

I had taken a photo of the model that Cassie worked on a few weeks ago, but the lighting wasn't great, so I was working off what I could remember in my old age.

1. Start with a wash of Bleu Passe all over the lid and bring it up past the crease.
2. Wet the shadow and apply the wet shadow all over the eyelid.
3. Using the Liner Pinceau, start in the middle of the lashes and work your way to the outer corner of the eye, then work from the middle to the inner corner.  Make sure to get as close to the lash line as you can.
4. Start building up the liner and looking ahead into a mirror, create your flick.
5. Apply a coat of your Fan-Tastic Volume mascara to upper and lower lashes and you're done!
6. Stare off wistfully and remember the good old days where your brow bone was that blue.  And it wasn't the sixties.

The Sixties Remix collection is on Bourjois counters this month, so if you want to try something a little different and try a little piece of this sixties trend, then check it out!
