Stila Countless Color Pigments Acoustic

Last week I showed you one of Stila's Countless Color Pigments in Groupie, a gorgeous neutral trio that is perfect for every day use.  Well, a couple of months ago, my friend picked up another trio, Acoustic, for me when she was in New York and although it's not available here in Ireland or the UK, I thought I'd show it to you, in case you felt like you really needed it in your life and wanted to see swatches.

It took me ages to decide on Acoustic after looking at the Sephora website for what seemed like ages but I thought it looked different to anything else in my stash and it's not every day you see red in an eyeshadow trio!

Although the red shade looks vivid in the pan, on my arm it's a much more wearable shade that's almost russet and as soon as I swatched it, I was in love.  Shades like that, along with the darker burgundy shade are perfect for my green eyes, so I got busy with it.

Like Groupie, each shade is pigmented, blendable and really easy to work with.  In the photos below, I've applied the lightest shade all over the lid, the russet shade into my crease and under my eyes and I've taken the darkest shade to the outer corner and under the lower lashes.

What I'm left with are eyes that are greener than green.  I think this palette is going to be a firm favourite when autumn arrives as I'm very traditional in my make up when it comes to autumn.  Give me anything the colour of leaves or berries, ones that are deep and rich and I'm yours.  Acoustic is slightly lighter in terms of shades, making it day time friendly.

If you see Acoustic on your travels, then definitely check it out.  Until then, head to the Stila counter in Harvey Nichols and play with the other trios that are available here.

  1. Wowsers, that looks stunning on you girlfriend!

  2. Oh I will have to see this, I too have green eyes. This looks amazing on you!

  3. Looks a bit scary in the pan but looks gorgeous on you!

  4. I was always afraid of using those kinda red colours in eyeshadows until I've tried Inglot one.
And now I just love it!
It looks absolutely amazing on you :) Thanks for this review - I feel like I need them, too :)))
