I've got these guys to show you today, so let's get to it. Let's talk about the Blue Black and Purple Black liners and mascaras first. In a nutshell, I'm not mad on the mascaras at all. The formulation is nice, but I like my mascaras like I like my coffee. Strong and black. (Except I have milk and two sugars in my coffee, but it didn't have the same ring to it.) The mascaras come across ashy and grey on my lashes and it's only when you hold a mirror 3 inches from your eyes and if the light hits them at a certain angle that you'll see the blue or purple hint to the lashes, and it's a whisper of a hint. I'd save my money and pick up the liners and the mascara in Blackest Black!

Blackest Black is my pick of the three mascaras and has been on my lashes since it arrived in the post.
You want the before and after shots don't you?
Volume, lift, length, separation and curl ticks all the boxes for me when it comes to mascara. Factor in no clumps and we've got a winner!
Most work days, I stick to the one coat with any mascara I use and that's mainly due to lack of time in the morning. And also due to lack of time, I don't always give myself time to apply shadow, so a good mascara is a must pour moi.

On nights out or when I'm wearing heavier eye makeup, I slap on the two coats and I'm good to go. Like all mascaras, it's best not to apply the second coat if the first one has dried properly, and if you abide by this rule in life, you'll have grand fluttery eyelashes with nary a clump to be seen.

Back to the makeup Karen. The Superliner Midnights are €9.85 and the Flutter Midnights Mascaras are €13.99. Anything float your boat?
Your lovely fluttery eyelashes could sell me anything K!
ReplyDeleteI've been lusting after this mascara since I saw your recent tutorial on YT! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the black mascaras - black like my soul - which has me thinking of YSL's Babydoll. The black one's supposed to be really black (although I didn't notice any extra "blackness") and smudgefree, so if you're ever in the mood for a splurge, that one might be for you? That being said, if I weren't so pleased with Clarins' Be Long mascara, looking at those feathery lashes of yours almost has me considering giving budget friendly mascaras another chance.
ReplyDeleteEh I'm getting that mascara pronto!
ReplyDeleteThank you!. I've been looking for a good budget mascara and I'm off to Boots at lunchtime for that black. Might treat myself to the purple liner while I'm at it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see a review of this as I was intrigued. Looks great on.

I just might have to try this one too! Atm I switch between Dior Iconic and L'Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess which I love! Never thought I'd find a good drugstore option. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly moly! What a difference in the before and after! Definitely a winner at that price.

Hi. Your lashes look great. One question. Does it smudge up on your eyelids or under your eyes? I find it hard to find one that doesn't. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe blue black eyeliner looks sooooo pretty!! And I love the mascara :) x
