Rituals Yin Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren body mist review

As a perfume obsessive, I put a lot of thought into what scent I was going to wear on Joanne and Will's wedding day.  A lot.  A really lot.  I contemplated matching Lorraine, my fellow bridesmaid, with her Michael Kors Sexy Amber, but decided that I'd bring it to be my evening scent.  Yes, I wanted to have a daytime scent and an evening scent because I wasn't sure you thought I was quite weird enough....

Having being bridesmaid a couple of times, the most recent being a few years ago at my friend Cliona's wedding, as I thought about my potential perfume, I remembered that day and tailored my fragrance accordingly.  I knew I was going to be running around doing last minute bits for Joanne, helping her with her veil, fluffing the netting in her dress, helping her go to the eau de toilette (the loo), dancing like a lunatic and so on.  I also knew that my first choice, Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana was going to be Joanne's wedding day perfume, her something borrowed, so I couldn't go with that.  I knew I wanted something light, fresh, feminine, not too strong and something that would make me remember the day every time I smelled it.

Lads, the Rituals Yin Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren body and bed spray was the most perfect perfect perfect scent that I could have chosen and I not only drenched myself with it during the day, but I also splooshed it on whoever happened to be in the vicinity of moi because every time I sprayed it, about 2 seconds later someone would ask what it was and ask for some.  That's the sign of sommat good.  I haven't wasted a drop of it on my bed but it's nice to know that I can if I want.

I know I have an undying love for this scent, having the body cream, which I brought with me too, and the fragrance sticks in the matching scent.   So my room smells amazing, as does my body.  That sounds weird.  I smell delicious is all I'm trying to say.

It's a light, calming, floral, clean, fresh scent that cooled me down instantly every time I used it, which was a lot.  They were pumping the heat into the marquee like nobody's business and I was sweating the girlie bits off myself, so made frequent stops to the bridal suite during the day to freshen up.  It's a scent that's supposed to promote restful sleep and meditation and I think it helped keep me cool and calm on the day!

I bought it in Arnotts for €16.50 and all I need is for them to bring out a shower gel in the same range and I'm sorted!  They've got one with the White Lotus part of the scent in it but it's mixed with Green Tea and it slightly overpowers the White Lotus for me.  There's a bath melt but I'll hold off until autumn before buying it because girlfriend won't be having baths anytime soon what with it being summer and all.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to freshen up!
