How does the Haus Labs Triclone Foundation look on my 48-year-old skin? Let’s have a look! I bought it on a trip to Sephora in London recently and managed to get a decent shade match despite being completely overwhelmed by the shop.
Haus Labs Triclone Foundation – the details
Out of the whopping 51 shades available, I bought shade 100 Light Neutral, which has soft peach undertones. With over 20 skincare ingredients in the formula, it definitely feels more like skincare than it does makeup. We’re talking the texture of a serum, but with excellent coverage.
One of the main ingredients is patent-pending Fermented Arnica, which is said to visibly reduce redness and irritation and help even skin tone. In the before and after photos below, you can see that it does both of those things.
It has a thin formula, but it’s not runny on the back of my hand. Despite its feeling like skincare, it really does live up to the medium-coverage claims, and a little goes a long way. I’m 48, with normal to combination skin, and the luminosity is on another level with this foundation. I have to powder down my t-zone a bit to take the glow down, but if you’ve got dry skin, you probably won’t need to.
I try to shoot makeup before and afters in natural daylight but it’s been dark and grey here in Ireland for so long, so I had to use studio lighting, set to as close to daylight as possible to help you see the finish and coverage.
Haus Labs Triclone Foundation – before & after
I love that it evens out my skin tone easily, covering up my redness, but it still looks like my skin. I haven’t had any issues with it breaking up or caking on me, and it lasts really well on me, especially when I give my skin a light powder. There haven’t been any issues about it settling into any fine lines or emphasising pores, and it builds easily, too.
Those with mature, dry or normal skin will especially like the Haus Labs foundation. Those with combination or oily skin will most likely need to powder over it as the glow and radiance are something else!
It’s available from Sephora or from the Haus Labs website. If you’re in Ireland, the taxes and duties are included in the price from the Haus Labs website.
It’ll be interesting to see how this looks on my skin as we come into the spring and summer months and if it’s too glowy for me! But for now, I’m absolutely loving it, and my skin looks gorgeous with it on, if I say so myself!
