I love wearing makeup, but what I love even more is not looking like I’m wearing makeup. Gone are the days of piling on the product because I’m not a fan of the look or feel of lots of makeup on my skin. I recently bought the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour on a trip to London and have been getting to grips with it over the last few weeks.

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour comes in seven shades, and I bought shade Gentle—the lightest of the range. When swatching it on the back of my hand, I liked how it had the perfect blend of coolness and warmth. Because of that, it acts as both a contour and a bronzer on me—a bron-tour, if you will.
The first thing I like about the product is the applicator. It’s nice and chunky and picks up plenty of product, which means I can apply it to one side of my face without having to dip back in multiple times.
Next on my tick list of joy is the blend-ability of the formula. It glides over my skin effortlessly no matter what brush I use and doesn’t go patchy or muddy, nor does it lift or move my foundation underneath. We’re talking melting into the skin vibes, and I’m here for it.
I love how it looks like my skin once I’ve blended it in, and it feels really lightweight, too. It’s easily buildable, but I like the finish and look of one layer on me. I’m going through a less is more phase (unless it’s blush, then my blush blindness really kicks in, and more is more ends up being the finished result!).
Those with mature skin will like this because of how easy it is to work into the skin and how it won’t highlight any fine lines or wrinkles. A pet peeve of mine is bronzers or contours that have glitter or shimmer in them because a) I do not like to look like a robot on my cheeks, and b) that glitter or shimmer will highlight every single line you have wherever you apply it.
